Swing Time
Swing Time
Tree branches reach across the fluttering field of green leaves in this small painting. Loose brush strokes suggest the wind rustling through leaves. Abstract marks in a sparkling variety of shades evokes the light as it filters from the bright sky. You catch glimpses of sun and sky, dashes of blue and yellow amid the green. Swing Time is a delightful contemporary painting that will let spring shine in your home year-round.
This painting is inspired by the sycamore that arch over Huron Avenue, Cambridge MA. My daily walk takes me under their branches through the seasons. My favorite time, though, is when the birds arrive and the air is full of song. Swing Time is painted with archival acrylics on paper and is varnished for UV protection. It is mounted on a 6”x6” cradled board that is 1 ½” deep, so it will sit happily on your book shelf or next to your computer. It also wired, and so arrives ready to hang. It would also look stunning mounted in a deep floater frame.
